CLAAS Id77DCh / 77DCh (43) – HYD (A60): Position sensor of hydraulic valve 3 (internal) is faulty

The position sensor of hydraulic valve 3 (internal) is faulty, with a probable open circuit. As a safety measure, the system forces electrodistributor 3 to return to its neutral position.

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the valve 3 electrodistributor (A105-3).

   Test the wiring for any short-circuits to ground/power or open circuits.

   Check the sources of energy to the module, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections.

   Check the internal resistance of the valve's position sensor if accessible.

   Identify the Origin

   Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze interactions to ensure Id77DCh is the root anomaly and not a cascaded error from a broader CAN bus failure.

   Inspect Wiring

   Locate electrodistributor 3 (A105-3) on the rear hydraulic valve stack. Disconnect the harness and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out terminals.

   Test Voltages

   With the key on, verify that the valve actuator is receiving the correct reference voltage and ground from the HYD (A60) module.

   Isolate the Fault

   If the wiring harness tests perfectly (no open circuits) and power/ground are present, the fault lies within the internal position sensor of the valve itself.

   Replace the Component

   Because the position sensor is internal to the electrodistributor module/actuator, the spool valve actuator head (often a Danfoss unit) or the entire spool valve section must be replaced.

   Clear and Retest

   Clear all error codes from the Cebis/dashboard display. Operate the tractor and cycle hydraulic valve 3 to ensure the anomaly does not reappear and the valve functions normally.
