CLAAS Id77EAh / 77EAh (24) – HYD (A60): The valve 4 drawer has exceeded the instruction

The internal spool (drawer) of hydraulic electrodistributor valve #4 has physically moved beyond the position commanded by the control unit. As a safety and operational response, the system forces electrodistributor 4 to return to the neutral position.

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-4 electrodistributor

   Inspect the wiring for any short-circuits or open circuits

   Check the sources of energy to the valve, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections

   Check the electrical resistance of the electrodistributor module

   Inspect the valve for mechanical seizing, excessive temperature, or abnormal hydraulic pressure that could force the spool past its commanded limit

   Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and perform a valve calibration if required

   Clear and Retest

   Clear the error codes from the HYD module and operate the tractor's #4 hydraulic remote to see if the anomaly returns.

   Inspect Wiring

   If the code returns, disconnect the harness at the A105-4 valve and the A60 HYD module. Test for continuity, shorts to ground, and proper voltage supply. Repair any damaged wiring.

   Mechanical Inspection

   Remove the electrodistributor valve and inspect the spool (drawer) for scoring, contamination, or mechanical binding that would cause it to over-travel or stick.

   Replace Component

   If the wiring is sound, calibration fails, and the valve is mechanically failing to hold its instructed position, replace the hydraulic valve assembly.

   Recalibrate

   After installing the new valve, clear the codes and run the hydraulic valve calibration procedure via the tractor's diagnostic terminal.
