CLAAS Id77EBh / 77EBh (25) – HYD (A60): Hydraulic Valve 4 Drawer Cannot Reach Floating Position

The drawer (spool) of hydraulic valve 4 cannot reach the instructed floating position. Because the valve cannot achieve the requested state, the system defaults to a degraded mode where electrodistributor 4 automatically returns to the neutral position for safety.

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-4 valve

   Test the circuit for any short-circuits to ground/power or open circuits

   Check the sources of energy at the valve connector, including fuses, supply voltage, and ground

   Measure the internal resistance of the valve's solenoids to ensure they are within specification

   Inspect the valve for mechanical seizing, fluid contamination, or extreme temperature/pressure conditions that could physically prevent the spool drawer from moving into the float position

   Document Codes

   Note all error codes present on the CEBIS terminal to see if any electrical supply codes (e.g., voltage too low/high) are causing this mechanical fault.

   Inspect Wiring

   Disconnect the harness at electrodistributor 4 (A105-4). Clean the contacts and inspect for pushed pins or corrosion.

   Test Actuation

   If the wiring is intact, attempt to manually actuate or recalibrate the valve via the diagnostic terminal to see if the spool is physically jammed.

   Replace the Valve

   If the spool is mechanically seized and cannot reach the float position despite receiving the correct electrical commands, the spool valve assembly must be replaced.

   Clear and Retest

   After replacing the valve, clear all error codes from the HYD module memory and operate the tractor's hydraulic remotes to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.
