Id77ECh / 77ECh (26)

CLAAS Id77ECh / 77ECh (26) – HYD (A60): Valve 4 is subject to manual action

Issue description

The system detects that hydraulic valve number 4 is being operated manually or is mechanically overridden/seized, conflicting with the electronic command expectations.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 850

Check the cause

  1. Check if Valve 4 is actually being subjected to manual action (e.g., a manual override lever is engaged or stuck).

  2. Inspect the component's operating conditions for mechanical seizing, excessive pressure, or abnormal temperatures.

  3. Inspect the connectors and test the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-4 electrodistributor.

  4. Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring, and verify fuses, power supply, and ground.

  5. Measure the component's internal resistance to verify the solenoid is within specification.

  6. Check the compatibility of program versions, settings, and calibration for the hydraulic module.

Repair steps

  1. Read and Record

Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze interactions, as one code can generate another. Confirm Id77ECh is the primary fault.

  2. Inspect Valve 4

Locate the electrodistributor module (A105-4) at the rear hydraulic valve stack. Ensure the manual override mechanism is in the neutral/electronic position and is not physically jammed.

  3. Perform Electrical Diagnostics

Using a multimeter, carry out the continuity, resistance, and voltage checks outlined above on the A105-4 circuit.

  4. Free or Replace the Valve

If the valve spool is mechanically seized due to contamination or internal failure, or if the electronic solenoid/distributor module has failed its resistance tests, the valve slice (electrodistributor) must be replaced.

  5. Reassemble and Calibrate

Install the new remote control valve slice. Ensure all harness connections are secure.

  6. Clear Codes and Test

Clear all error codes from the Cebis terminal/system. Operate the tractor and cycle Valve 4 to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.

Parts you might need
