CLAAS Id77EFh / 77EFh (41) – HYD (A60): Power supply voltage of hydraulic valve 4 is too high
Issue description
The power supply voltage of hydraulic valve 4 is reading > 42 V. As a safety measure, the system forces electrodistributor 4 to return to the neutral position.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- Axion 800 series
- Axion 810
- Axion 830
- Axion 840
- Axion 850
Check the cause
Inspect the electrodistributor module for valve 4 (designated as A105-4 in wiring diagrams).
Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harness linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-4 electrodistributor.
Look for a short-circuit to a higher voltage source (reading > 42 V), which often points to an internal short within the valve's internal driver/sensor or a severely compromised wiring harness.
Check the sources of energy (fuses, main supply, and ground connections) to ensure there are no floating grounds causing voltage irregularities.
Repair steps
Read and Record
Note the error code in the CEBIS terminal and check for any interacting codes (e.g., CAN bus errors or other valve voltage errors).
Isolate the Circuit
Disconnect the battery and unplug the connector at electrodistributor module A105-4.
Test the Harness
Using a multimeter, test the harness between the HYD (A60) ECU and the valve for continuity and ensure there is no short to power.
Replace the Valve
If the harness tests good and the supply voltage from the tractor is normal, the internal circuitry of the electrodistributor module (A105-4) has failed and the valve assembly must be replaced.
Reassemble and Clear
Install the new spool valve, reconnect the harnesses, and clear the error codes from the CEBIS terminal.
Test
Operate the tractor's hydraulic remote #4 to ensure the code does not return and the valve no longer locks into neutral.
