CLAAS Id77FAh / 77FAh (16) – HYD (A60): EEPROM on valve 5 is faulty
Issue description
Electrodistributor 5 stays at neutral upon initialization. The internal memory (EEPROM) of the valve's electronic actuator has failed or become corrupted, preventing the valve from operating.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- Axion 800 Series
- Axion 810
- Axion 850
Check the cause
Identify the electrodistributor module (A105-5) (Spool Valve 5) on the rear hydraulic valve stack
Check the sources of energy (fuses, supply voltage, and ground) to ensure the valve is receiving proper power
Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-5 electrodistributor
Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring
Verify the component's operating conditions (pressure, temperature, mechanical seizing)
Repair steps
Document Codes
Note all error codes present on the tractor to analyze if another code (such as a CAN bus or voltage error) is generating this anomaly.
Inspect Valve 5
Locate electrodistributor 5 (A105-5) on the rear hydraulic valve stack.
Verify Wiring
Perform the electrical continuity and voltage checks mentioned above.
Replace Actuator/Valve
Because an 'EEPROM faulty' error indicates an internal hardware failure of the valve's electronic control head, the actuator or the entire spool valve slice will likely need to be replaced if the wiring is intact.
Clear and Test
Clear all error codes using the diagnostic terminal, restart the tractor, and operate the hydraulics to ensure the code does not return and the valve initializes properly.
