Id77FCh / 77FCh (21)

CLAAS Id77FCh / 77FCh (21) – HYD (A60): Supply voltage is too low

Issue description

The control module is detecting an inadequate electrical power supply to operate the specific hydraulic valve component.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 series
  • Axion 810
  • Axion 820
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850

Check the cause

  1. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the electrodistributor module (A105-5)

  2. Check for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits in the wiring

  3. Check the sources of energy, specifically the fuses, main power supply lines, and ground connections feeding the hydraulic module and the electrodistributor

  4. Check the internal resistance of the electrodistributor module (A105-5) to ensure it is within specification

  5. Verify the component's operating conditions (e.g., check for mechanical seizing of the valve spool, pressure issues, or extreme temperatures)

Repair steps

  1. Document Codes

Note all error codes present on the tractor (CEBIS terminal) to see if a primary electrical fault is triggering this code as a secondary symptom.

  2. Inspect Wiring

Visually and physically inspect the wiring harness leading to the #5 hydraulic electrodistributor valve (A105-5) at the rear hydraulic block. Look for chafed wires, bent pins, or corrosion inside the connector.

  3. Voltage Drop Test

Using a multimeter, measure the voltage at the electrodistributor connector while the system is powered on. If the voltage is significantly lower than the tractor's system voltage (12V), trace the circuit back to the fuse box and HYD module to locate the voltage drop.

  4. Clean and Secure Grounds

Ensure the ground connection for the hydraulic block is clean, tight, and free of rust or paint.

  5. Replace Component

If the wiring, fuses, and supply voltage up to the connector are perfectly intact but the valve still pulls the voltage down or fails to operate, the electrodistributor module (A105-5) has an internal fault and must be replaced.

  6. Clear and Retest

Clear all error codes from the system, then operate the tractor's hydraulic functions to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Electrodistributor Module / Hydraulic Spool Valve (Position 5)

    0011500450

CLAAS Genuine Hydraulic Valve - fits Axion 800 series. Ensure the replacement valve matches the specific slice (Valve 5) on the rear hydraulic distributor block. Calibration via the CLAAS diagnostic tool may be required after installing a new electro-hydraulic spool valve to set the neutral, extend, and retract thresholds.

  • Spool Valve End Plate

    0011453311

often required when servicing the valve stack
