CLAAS Id7800h / 7800h (25) – HYD (A60): The drawer of valve 5 cannot reach the floating position instruction.

Because the valve spool (drawer) fails to reach the commanded float position, the system automatically forces electrodistributor 5 to return to the neutral position as a safety measure.

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-5 valve.

   Test the circuit for any short-circuits to ground/power or open circuits.

   Verify the sources of energy (fuses, supply voltage, and ground) reaching the valve, performing voltage drop testing to ensure voltage is not dropping below 8V.

   Measure the internal resistance of the electrodistributor solenoid.

   Check for mechanical seizing, hydraulic pressure issues, or temperature extremes that might be binding the valve spool.

   Identify Valve 5

   Locate the rear hydraulic remote valve block and identify slice #5 (Electrodistributor A105-5).

   Inspect Wiring

   Disconnect the harness at the valve. Inspect the pins for corrosion, pushed-out terminals, or moisture ingress. Clean and secure the connection.

   Test Actuation

   Attempt to manually actuate the valve (if equipped with manual overrides) to determine if the spool is physically jammed by debris or internal scoring.

   Clean/Flush

   If the spool is sticking, the valve block may need to be removed, disassembled, and flushed to remove hydraulic contamination.

   Replace the Valve

   If the electrical circuit is sound and the spool is permanently seized or the internal position sensor has failed, replace the electrodistributor module.

   Calibrate and Clear

   After replacement, check if compatibility settings or calibrations are required via the CLAAS diagnostic tool. Clear all error codes and test-operate the tractor to ensure the anomaly does not return.
