CLAAS Id7802h / 7802h (31) – HYD (A60): Power supply of valve 5 is too low (less than 8 V)

Issue description

Indicates a voltage supply issue within the hydraulic system. Specifically, it means that the power supply of valve 5 is too low (less than 8 V).

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 series
  • Axion 810
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850

Check the cause

  1. Check the sources of energy to the hydraulic system, including all relevant fuses, main supply lines, and ground connections

  2. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the electrodistributor module (A105-5)

  3. Test the wiring for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits that would cause the voltage to drop below the 8V threshold

  4. Check the internal electrical resistance of the electrodistributor module (A105-5)

  5. Inspect the component's physical operating conditions to ensure there is no mechanical seizing, extreme temperature, or abnormal pressure causing an electrical overload

Repair steps

  1. Document Codes

Note all error codes currently present on the tractor via the CEBIS terminal or diagnostic tool. Analyze the interaction between these codes, as a primary electrical fault can generate secondary codes.

  2. Locate the Component

Access the hydraulic valve block and locate the specific electrodistributor module for valve 5, designated as component A105-5.

  3. Test Supply Voltage

Disconnect the harness at the A105-5 module. Turn the ignition on and use a multimeter to measure the supply voltage at the connector.

  4. Isolate the Fault

If the voltage at the connector is below 8V while unplugged, the fault lies in the wiring harness or the HYD (A60) control module. Repair the wiring or clean the contacts. If the voltage is within specification (e.g., 12V) when unplugged but drops below 8V when connected, the A105-5 electrodistributor module has an internal fault drawing down the voltage.

  5. Replace/Repair

Replace the faulty electrodistributor module or repair the damaged harness.

  6. Clear and Retest

Clear all error codes from the system memory. Test-operate the tractor's hydraulic functions to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.

Parts you might need

(3)
  • Electrodistributor Module (Valve 5)

    A105-5

Fitment: Axion 800 series hydraulic valve block

  • Hydraulic Control Module

    HYD (A60)

Only replace if the module itself is failing to output the correct voltage

  • Hydraulic Wiring Harness / Connectors
