Id780Ah / 780Ah

CLAAS Id780Ah / 780Ah – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic Control Module: Online command 1 of the armrest is not in neutral or locked

Issue description

The system detects that the online command for electrodistributor n°1 indicates a position other than neutral. As a system response, electrodistributor 1 is rendered inactive. The system requires the operator to release the command and allow it to return to neutral.

Applies to these machines

  • CLAAS Axion 800 Series
  • CLAAS Axion 850
  • CLAAS Axion 810
  • CLAAS Axion 800
  • CLAAS Axion 900 Series
  • CLAAS Axion 950
  • CLAAS Axion 920

Check the cause

  1. Verify the online command of electrodistributor n°1 (Component R76-1) to ensure it is not physically stuck or mechanically seized

  2. Inspect the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module

  3. Inspect the electrodistributor module (A105-5)

  4. Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the A100 armrest module, the A60 hydraulic module, and the A105-5 electrodistributor for any short-circuits or open circuits

  5. Check the sources of energy (fuses, power supply, and ground) for the affected modules

  6. Check the component's resistance and adjustment if required

Repair steps

  1. Document

Note all error codes present on the tractor and identify the nature of each.

  2. Analyze

Analyze the interaction between the error codes, as one fault (like a voltage drop or CAN bus error) can generate another. Identify if Id780Ah is the root anomaly.

  3. Inspect Mechanically

Ensure the physical switch/roller for electrodistributor 1 (R76-1) on the multifunction armrest is free of debris and springs back to the neutral position smoothly.

  4. Perform Electrical Measurements

Using a multimeter, perform the continuity and resistance tests on the R76-1 circuit and the A100 module harness as outlined in the diagnostic checks. Repair any damaged wiring or replace blown fuses.

  5. Clear and Retest

If a mechanical obstruction was cleared or a wiring repair was made, clear all error codes using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS). Test operate the tractor to see if the anomaly appears again.

  6. Replace Components

If the wiring is intact and the switch physically returns to neutral but the module still reads an active command, the R76-1 switch or the A100 MFA module itself has failed internally and must be replaced.
