CLAAS Id780Bh / 780Bh – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic Control Module: Online command 2 of the armrest is not in neutral or is locked

The system detects that the online command of electrodistributor n°2 (hydraulic valve 2) is indicating a position other than neutral. As a safety and operational effect, the system will force electrodistributor 2 to release (deactivate) until the control is physically returned to the neutral position.

   Physical Inspection: Check the electrodistributor 2 control switch/joystick (designated as R76-2) on the multifunction armrest. Ensure it is not physically stuck, locked, or obstructed by debris preventing it from returning to neutral.

   Module Check: Check the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module for proper operation.

   Wiring & Harnesses: Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the MFA (A100) and HYD (A60) components.

   Electrical Integrity: Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring.

   Component Resistance: Check the resistance and signal voltage of the R76-2 switch to ensure it is reading correctly when in the neutral position.

   Power Sources: Check the sources of energy (fuses, supply voltage, and ground) for both the MFA and HYD modules.

   Clear the physical control

   Ensure the control for electrodistributor 2 (R76-2) on the armrest is physically returned to the neutral position. Clean the area around the switch to remove any dirt or sticky residue that might be causing mechanical binding.

   Test the switch

   If the control is physically in neutral but the code persists, use a multimeter to test the R76-2 switch. If the switch is sending an out of neutral voltage signal while resting in the neutral position, the switch or the armrest circuit board is faulty.

   Inspect the harness

   Disconnect the harness between the MFA (A100) armrest module and the HYD (A60) hydraulic module. Inspect the pins for corrosion or damage. Use a multimeter to test for continuity, shorts to ground, or open circuits. Repair or replace damaged wiring.

   Verify power and ground

   Ensure both the MFA (A100) and HYD (A60) modules are receiving proper voltage and have clean grounds.

   Replace faulty components

   If the wiring is intact and the R76-2 switch is confirmed to be internally shorted or failing, replace the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module (or the specific switch component if your dealer offers it separately).

   Clear codes and test

   Use the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) to clear the error codes. Start the tractor and test the hydraulic functions of valve 2 to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.
