CLAAS Id780Dh / 780Dh – HYD (A60) / MFA (A100): Axis 5 of the Electropilot cross control on the armrest is locked

The system detects that the cross command of the Electropilot (joystick) is not in the neutral position, or the sensor indicates a position other than neutral upon startup or during operation. As a safety measure, electrodistributor n° 5 is locked out.

   Verify that the Electropilot joystick is physically returning to the neutral position. Check for dirt, debris, or mechanical seizing that might be holding the joystick slightly off-center.

   Inspect the cross command Electropilot electrodistributor n° 5 (R75).

   Verify the status of the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module.

   Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the Electropilot (R75), the MFA (A100), and the HYD (A60).

   Test for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring.

   Check the component's resistance and signal voltage.

   Check the sources of energy (fuses, power supply, and ground connections).

   Release and Reset

   Attempt to manually center the Electropilot cross control. The system requires you to release the control and allow it to return to absolute neutral to unlock the electrodistributor.

   Clean and Inspect

   If the joystick binds, clean the base of the Electropilot control to ensure no foreign objects are preventing the centering springs from returning the axis to neutral.

   Harness Inspection

   If the joystick is physically centered but the code persists, access the wiring beneath the armrest. Disconnect the harness at the Electropilot (R75) and the MFA (A100) module. Inspect pins for corrosion, pushed-out terminals, or damage.

   Continuity Test

   Use a multimeter to verify continuity between the Electropilot axis 5 signal wire and the MFA module. Repair any damaged wiring.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring is intact and the joystick is mechanically centered but still sending an "out of neutral" voltage signal, the internal potentiometer/sensor of the Electropilot has failed and the joystick assembly must be replaced.

   Clear Codes

   After repair, clear all error codes from the system and test the tractor's hydraulic functions to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.
