CLAAS Id7825h / 7826h – HYD (A60): Electrical short on the Hydraulic CAN bus network

Id7825h indicates a short-circuit to the 12V on the Hydraulic CAN bus. Id7826h indicates a short-circuit to the ground on the Hydraulic CAN bus.

   Check the Hydraulic CAN bus network specifically for a short to 12V power (if Id7825h is present) or a short to ground (if Id7826h is present)

   Inspect connectors and test the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the rest of the CAN network

   Verify all related energy sources, including fuses, power supplies, and ground connections

   Test the HYD (A60) module's resistance and operating conditions to ensure the short is not internal to the module itself

   Document and Analyze

   Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze the interaction between them, as a CAN bus short can generate secondary communication errors.

   Isolate the Short

   Using a multimeter, perform pinpoint tests on the Hydraulic CAN bus wiring to locate the exact point of the short circuit (either to 12V or to ground).

   Repair Wiring

   If a damaged harness, rubbed wire, or corroded connector is found, repair or replace the affected wiring section.

   Test the Module

   If the wiring harness tests perfectly fine, the internal circuitry of the HYD (A60) module has likely failed and is bridging the connection.

   Clear and Retest

   Clear all error codes from the system. Operate the tractor and test the hydraulic functions to see if the anomaly appears again.

   Replace Component

   If the code returns and the wiring is intact, replace the HYD (A60) module and calibrate it if required by the software version.
