CLAAS Id7831h / 7831h – HYD (A60): Hydraulic Valve 2 is no longer detected

Hydraulic Valve 2 is no longer detected. The underlying condition is that the valve is either electrically disconnected or internally faulty.

   Display the error code and view the status of the appropriate valve (Valve 2) in the CEBIS terminal.

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to Hydraulic Valve 2 (A118).

   Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring.

   Measure the electrical resistance of the valve's solenoid to ensure it is within specification.

   Check the sources of energy, including fuses, power supply, and ground connections to the valve.

   Check for mechanical seizing, extreme temperatures, or abnormal pressure conditions that could cause the valve to fail.

   Identify the Valve

   Locate Hydraulic Valve 2 (Component A118) on the rear hydraulic spool block.

   Inspect Wiring

   Disconnect the electrical connector at the valve. Inspect the pins for corrosion, pushed-out terminals, or moisture.

   Test the Solenoid

   Using a multimeter, test the valve solenoid. If the resistance is out of spec or shows an open circuit, the valve/solenoid has failed.

   Repair/Replace

   If the wiring harness is damaged, repair the broken wires. If the wiring is intact but the valve is faulty, replace the Hydraulic Valve 2 module.

   Clear and Test

   Once the repair is made or the part is replaced, the tractor will automatically return to normal operating mode once the HYD module successfully receives the message/detects the valve. Clear any stored historical codes and test the hydraulic function.
