Id7832h / 7832h

CLAAS Id7832h / 7832h – HYD (A60): The 3 valve is no longer detected.

Issue description

The hydraulic control system has lost communication with or cannot detect the electrical presence of hydraulic spool valve #3. The underlying condition is typically a faulty valve solenoid, a disconnected wiring harness, or a broken circuit.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 820
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 920
  • Axion 950
  • Arion 500 series
  • Arion 600 series

Check the cause

  1. Verify via CEBIS terminal to confirm the exact valve (Valve 3) causing the issue.

  2. Inspect the electrical connector at hydraulic valve 3 for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture.

  3. Check the continuity of the wiring harness linking the HYD (A60) module to Valve 3.

  4. Test the wiring for any short-circuits to ground, short-circuits to 12V, or open circuits.

  5. Measure the internal resistance of the Valve 3 solenoid to determine if the coil has failed internally.

  6. Check the sources of energy (fuses, power supply, and ground connections) feeding the hydraulic valve block.

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Park the tractor on a level surface, lower all hydraulic implements to the ground, turn off the engine, and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.

  2. Locate the Valve

Locate the rear electro-hydraulic spool valve block and identify the section corresponding to Valve #3.

  3. Inspect/Clean

Disconnect the electrical harness from Valve 3. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. If the wiring was simply loose or dirty, reconnect it and test the tractor.

  4. Replace the Valve/Solenoid

If the wiring is intact but the solenoid failed the resistance test, the valve or solenoid assembly must be replaced. Clean the exterior of the valve block thoroughly to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

  5. Removal

Unbolt the faulty spool valve section or solenoid from the hydraulic stack.

  6. Installation

Install the new spool valve/solenoid using new O-rings/seals. Torque the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.

  7. Reconnection

Reconnect the electrical harness to the new valve.

  8. Clear Codes

Turn on the tractor ignition, navigate to the CEBIS terminal, and clear the stored fault codes.

  9. Testing

Start the tractor and operate hydraulic valve 3 to ensure the error does not return and verify there are no hydraulic fluid leaks at the valve block.
