CLAAS Id7835h / 7835h – HYD (A060 / A60): The 6 valve is no longer detected / Valve is faulty or disconnected

Issue description

Loss of communication or electrical continuity between the tractor's hydraulic control module and the number 6 hydraulic spool valve (component A122).

Check the cause

  1. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD module (A060) to hydraulic valve 6.

  2. Check for any short-circuits to ground/power or open circuits in the wiring.

  3. Check the internal resistance of the valve 6 solenoid to ensure it has not failed internally.

  4. Check the sources of energy (fuses, 12V supply from the UBM box, and ground).

  5. Check the component's mechanical operating conditions (e.g., mechanical seizing of the spool, pressure, temperature).

Repair steps

  1. Acknowledge the Fault

Acknowledge the error on the Cebis display to allow the tractor's CAN bus to return to normal operating mode.

  2. Locate the Valve

Locate the hydraulic distributor block at the rear of the tractor and identify spool valve number 6 (Component A122).

  3. Inspect Wiring

Disconnect the electrical connector at valve 6. Inspect the pins for corrosion, pushed-out terminals, or moisture ingress.

  4. Test the Solenoid

Using a multimeter, measure the resistance across the valve's solenoid pins. If the circuit is open (infinite resistance) or shorted, the electronic actuator/solenoid on the valve has failed.

  5. Test the Harness

If the valve resistance is within spec, perform a continuity test from the valve connector back to the A060 HYD module harness. Repair any broken wires.

  6. Replace the Valve/Solenoid

If the wiring is intact and power/ground are present but the valve is still not detected, the valve's electronic head or the entire spool valve assembly must be replaced.

  7. Calibrate

After replacement, use the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) to clear the fault memory and, if required, check the compatibility of program versions and calibrate the new valve.
