CLAAS Id7841h / 7841h – HYD (A60): Communication loss with Valve 5

The HYD (A60) module has detected a communication loss (broken communication) with Valve 5. When this fault occurs, the system records the error in the EEPROM and immediately stops the active CSM (Claas Sequence Management) sequence.

   Check the connectors and continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module, Valve 5, and the EXT (A62) module for open or short circuits

   Check the resistance and mechanical condition of Valve 5 (ensure there is no mechanical seizing)

   Check the sources of energy to the hydraulic modules and valves, including fuses, power supply, and ground connections

   Verify the operational status of the HYD (A60) module and the EXT (A62) external function module

   Reset the Sequence

   Because the CSM sequence is automatically stopped when this fault is detected, wait for the sequence to be relaunched or manually reset the system after the physical repair is made.

   Inspect Connections

   Disconnect the electrical connector at Valve 5 and the HYD (A60) module. Inspect for pushed pins, corrosion, or moisture. Clean and reseat the connectors.

   Test the Harness

   Using a multimeter, perform a continuity test on the wires running from the HYD (A60) module to Valve 5. Repair any broken wires in the harness.

   Test the Valve

   Measure the internal resistance of Valve 5's solenoid. If the resistance is out of specification (open or shorted internally), the valve/solenoid must be replaced.

   Module Verification

   If the wiring and valve test perfectly, the fault may lie within the HYD (A60) or EXT (A62) modules failing to transmit/receive CAN messages. Check for software updates or replace the faulty module.
