CLAAS Id7844h / 7844h – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic Module: Hydraulic Output 2 is unavailable

Issue description

Hydraulic Output 2 is unavailable. Because this output is unresponsive or locked, the CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) system halts its automated sequence. If the condition persists for 20 seconds, the CSM sequence is automatically disconnected.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 820
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 920
  • Axion 950

Check the cause

  1. Attempt to manually reset the CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) system to see if the lock clears

  2. Check the connectors and continuity of the electrical wiring linking the HYD (A60) module to the Hydraulic Output 2 spool valve

  3. Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the harness

  4. Verify the sources of energy (fuses, power supply, and ground connections) to the HYD module and the valve

  5. Check the resistance of the hydraulic valve solenoid and inspect for mechanical seizing, pressure issues, or temperature anomalies

Repair steps

  1. Read and Record

Use the CEBIS terminal or METADIAG tool to verify all active error codes. Analyze if any other CAN bus or hydraulic codes are present that might be causing a cascade failure.

  2. Perform a CSM Reset

Clear the sequence lock by resetting the CSM. If the code immediately returns, proceed to hardware troubleshooting.

  3. Inspect the Valve

Locate the electro-hydraulic spool valve for Output 2 at the rear hydraulic block. Inspect the physical connector for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture.

  4. Test the Solenoid

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the Output 2 valve solenoid. Compare it against the specified values in the test and measurement files. If it is out of spec (open or shorted internally), the valve/solenoid must be replaced.

  5. Test the Harness

Back-probe the wiring from the valve connector to the HYD (A60) module to ensure there is no break in the wire.

  6. Replace Faulty Component

If the wiring is intact and power is present but the valve is mechanically seized or electrically dead, replace the hydraulic control valve. If the valve tests perfectly but receives no signal, the HYD (A60) module may require replacement or a software flash.

  7. Clear and Retest

Clear all error codes from the system and test-operate Hydraulic Output 2 and the CSM to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.

Parts you might need

(5)
  • Hydraulic Control Valve / Spool Valve

    0011500450

Standard hydraulic valve for Axion/Arion. Ensure you match the exact part number to the tractor's chassis serial number, as valve blocks differ between standard and load-sensing (LS) hydraulic configurations.

  • Hydraulic Priority Valve

    0011330290

Ensure you match the exact part number to the tractor's chassis serial number, as valve blocks differ between standard and load-sensing (LS) hydraulic configurations.

  • Hydraulic Priority Valve

    0011330291

Ensure you match the exact part number to the tractor's chassis serial number, as valve blocks differ between standard and load-sensing (LS) hydraulic configurations.

  • Control Valve Assy

    11096896

Ensure you match the exact part number to the tractor's chassis serial number, as valve blocks differ between standard and load-sensing (LS) hydraulic configurations.

  • HYD (A60) Hydraulic Control Module

Specific OEM part number requires a chassis-specific parts catalog lookup.
