CLAAS Id7847h / 7847h – HYD (A60): Communication Loss with Valve 6

The HYD (A60) module has detected a communication loss (broken communication) with Valve 6. When this occurs, the system automatically stops the current CSM (CLAAS Sequence Management) sequence and records the error in the EEPROM.

   Check the status of the HYD (A60) hydraulic module and the EXT (A62) external function module

   Check the connectors and continuity of the wiring harnesses linking Valve 6 to the HYD (A60) module for open circuits or short-circuits

   Check the sources of energy to the valve and module, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections

   Check Valve 6's electrical resistance and physical adjustment

   Inspect the valve for mechanical seizing and verify operating conditions like hydraulic pressure and temperature

   Reset the Sequence

   Wait for the sequence to be relaunched. If nothing happens, manually reset the CSM (CLAAS Sequence Management).

   Inspect Connections

   Disconnect the electrical plug at Valve 6 (Spool Valve 6) and the HYD (A60) module. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner to rule out a poor connection caused by dirt or corrosion.

   Repair Wiring

   If the multimeter continuity test reveals a break or short in the harness between the A60 module and Valve 6, repair or replace the damaged wiring section.

   Replace Valve 6

   If the wiring is intact and power/ground are present, but the valve fails resistance testing or is mechanically seized, replace Valve 6.

   Module Replacement

   If the valve and wiring are perfectly functional, the communication loss may stem from a failure within the HYD (A60) or EXT (A62) modules, requiring module replacement and recalibration.
