CLAAS Id7849h / 7849h – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic Module: HYD (A60) module has detected a communication loss (broken communication) with Valve 7

When this fault occurs, the error is recorded in the EEPROM, and the CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) sequence is immediately stopped. The system will wait for the sequence to be manually relaunched.

   Verify the HYD (A60) module is receiving proper power and ground

   Inspect the physical condition of Valve 7

   Inspect the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module, Valve 7, and the CAN bus for short-circuits or open circuits

   Check the EXT (A62) module, as it interacts with the hydraulic sequences

   Check all relevant fuses, power supplies, and grounds for the system

   Document and Analyze

   Note the error code and check for any other active codes (especially CAN bus or EXT module codes) that might be the root cause of the communication failure.

   Visual Inspection

   Inspect the wiring harness routing to Valve 7 on the hydraulic valve block. Look for chafed wires, pinched harnesses, or corroded pins at the connectors.

   Electrical Testing

   Disconnect Valve 7 and measure the resistance of the valve coil to ensure it is within spec. Perform a continuity test on the wiring between the HYD (A60) module and Valve 7.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the valve coil is open/shorted or the valve is mechanically seized, replace the hydraulic valve/solenoid.

   Clear and Retest

   After repairing the wiring or replacing the valve, clear the error codes from the EEPROM. Relaunch the CSM sequence and operate the tractor to verify the anomaly does not return.
