CLAAS Id784Ah / 784Ah – HYD (A60): Valve 8 is disconnected from the CSM because it is locked

Valve 8 is disconnected from the CSM (CLAAS Sequence Management) because it is locked. The system makes Valve 8 unavailable. After 20 seconds, the CSM sequence is automatically launched again. If the sequence fails to restart, the system requires a manual reset of the CSM.

   Wait 20 seconds to allow the system to attempt an automatic relaunch of the CSM sequence

   Manually reset the CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) system if nothing happens after 20 seconds

   Inspect the connectors and test the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking Valve 8 to the HYD (A60) module for open circuits or short-circuits

   Verify the sources of energy, including fuses, power supply, and ground connections to the HYD module and the valve

   Check Valve 8's operating conditions for mechanical seizing, abnormal temperatures, or pressure issues that could cause the valve to lock

   Measure the electrical resistance of the Valve 8 solenoid to ensure it is within specification

   Document and Analyze

   Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze if another code (such as a CAN bus communication error) is the root cause generating the Id784Ah code.

   Perform CSM Reset

   Clear the locked state by resetting the CSM via the cab controls.

   Inspect Valve 8

   Locate auxiliary electrohydraulic control Valve 8 on the hydraulic block. Disconnect the electrical connector and inspect for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out pins.

   Test Wiring

   Using a multimeter, test the wiring from the Valve 8 connector back to the HYD (A60) module for continuity and shorts to ground/power. Repair the harness if damage is found.

   Replace Valve/Solenoid

   If the wiring is intact but the valve is mechanically seized or the solenoid fails the resistance test, replace Valve 8.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Clear all error codes from the system. Operate the tractor and run a CSM sequence to verify the anomaly does not reappear.
