CLAAS Id7879h / 7879h – MFT (A30): Internal temperature sensor of the terminal out of service

The system detects that the temperature sensor located inside the display terminal has failed or stopped communicating.

   Check the CEBIS terminal module MFT (A30) to verify if the terminal is otherwise functioning normally or if it is physically overheating

   Check cab climate control to ensure it is functioning properly and not blowing excessive heat directly onto the back of the monitor

   Cycle the battery power to reboot/reset the system and see if internal sensor communication restores

   Turn off the machine and disconnect the main battery power

   This prevents electrical shorts before beginning the repair.

   Locate the CEBIS terminal (MFT A30)

   The terminal is located on the right-hand armrest or cab rail.

   Disconnect wiring harnesses

   Carefully disconnect the main wiring harness and any camera/ISOBUS connectors from the rear of the unit.

   Unbolt the terminal

   Unbolt the terminal from its mounting bracket.

   Repair or replace the terminal

   Option A (Repair): Send the unit to an electronics specialist who can open the casing and replace the faulty internal surface-mount temperature sensor or repair the board. Option B (Replace): Mount the new or remanufactured CEBIS terminal to the bracket.

   Reconnect wiring

   Reconnect all wiring harnesses securely.

   Restore power

   Reconnect battery power and turn on the ignition.

   Calibrate or flash the unit

   A replacement terminal may require a CLAAS dealer to perform a software calibration or flash the unit using the METADIAG diagnostic tool to match your specific machine's configuration.
