CLAAS Id787Ah / 787Ah – MFT (A30): Voltage delivered by the loudspeaker is too low

The system logs this error when the Cebis terminal's loudspeaker is active, but the control module detects an abnormally low voltage on the speaker circuit, pointing to a potential open circuit, wiring fault, or internal module failure.

   Check the loudspeaker of the Cebis terminal (designated as component C22 or J323)

   Check the Cebis terminal module MFT (A30)

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the harnesses linking the Cebis terminal to the loudspeaker

   Check for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits in the wiring

   Check the loudspeaker component's resistance to ensure it is within specification

   Access the Components

   Locate the Cebis terminal (MFT A30) and the right console loudspeaker (C22) inside the cab.

   Inspect Wiring

   Disconnect the wiring harness connecting the terminal to the loudspeaker. Inspect the connector pins for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or damage.

   Test Continuity

   Using a multimeter, test the wiring continuity between the MFT (A30) module and the C22 loudspeaker. Repair any broken wires or shorts to ground.

   Test the Loudspeaker

   Measure the resistance of the loudspeaker. If it reads as an open circuit (blown speaker) or falls outside standard resistance values, replace the loudspeaker.

   Replace/Remanufacture the Terminal

   If the wiring is intact and the loudspeaker tests good, the internal audio output circuitry of the Cebis terminal module (MFT A30) is faulty. The terminal will need to be replaced or sent to a specialist for remanufacturing.

   Verify Repair

   Reconnect all components, clear the fault codes, and test the Cebis terminal's audio alerts to confirm the voltage is restored and the code does not return.
