CLAAS Id7895h / 7895h – EXT (A62): Rear PTO communication and signal error

The external function module receives invalid rear PTO engaging information for more than 5 seconds over the CAN Bus because the rear PTO engaging information is not available on the 7-pin ISO connector.

   Check the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus network to ensure there are no communication interruptions across the network

   Check the CAN bus network communication module to verify the operation of the BDG (A103) module

   Check the 7-pin ISO connector to verify that the rear PTO engaging information is physically available and that the connector is not damaged

   Check the EXT (A62) module to verify the external function module is operating correctly

   Analyze Codes

   Note all error codes present on the tractor. Identify if Id7895h is the root anomaly or if it is being generated by a broader CAN bus failure (such as BDG module faults).

   Harness & Connector Inspection

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the harnesses linking the EXT (A62) module, the BDG (A103) module, and the 7-pin ISO connector.

   Circuit Testing

   Test the wiring for any short-circuits or open circuits.

   Power & Ground Checks

   Check the sources of energy for the affected modules, including all relevant fuses, power supply lines, and ground connections.

   Software/Calibration

   Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and calibration of the EXT module.

   Clear & Retest

   Clear all error codes from the system, then operate the tractor to see if the anomaly appears again.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring, power, and software are all verified as good, replace the faulty component (the 7-pin ISO connector, the EXT module, or the BDG module).
