CLAAS Id78AFh / 78AFh – EXT (A62) - External function module: The CSM sequence cannot be started. Cannot display the sequence.

The CSM (CLAAS Sequence Management) system is unable to initiate a saved sequence because the CEBIS display cannot load or show it, indicating an operational or communication error.

   Ensure the tractor meets all operational prerequisites to run a CSM sequence (engine running, driver in seat, tractor speed above 1.5 km/h)

   Verify that the CSM switch (S177) is set to 'play' mode before attempting to select or run a sequence

   Check the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus network for communication issues between the EXT (A62) module, the HYD (A60) hydraulic module, and the MFT (A30) CEBIS terminal module

   Check for inconsistencies in the signals coming from the 'CLAAS Sequence Management' switch (S177)

   Reset the Sequence

   Clear the currently selected CSM sequence on the CEBIS terminal and attempt to record a new, simple sequence (time- or distance-related) to see if the system can display it.

   Inspect the S177 Switch

   Test the functionality of the CSM switch (S177) located on the armrest/CMOTION lever. If the switch is physically damaged or sending erratic signals to the EXT module, it must be replaced.

   Check Wiring Harness

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the EXT (A62) module to the CAN bus. Look for shorts to 12V or ground, which are common causes for the EXT module failing to transmit messages.

   Module Replacement

   If the wiring is intact, the S177 switch is functioning, and the CEBIS terminal operates normally otherwise, the EXT (A62) external function module may have suffered an internal failure and will require replacement and dealer reprogramming.
