CLAAS Id78C4h / 78C4h (860) – SFA (A102) - Front Axle Suspension Module: Front suspended axle disconnected during a sequence CSM (CLAAS Sequence Management).

The front axle suspension system becomes inoperative during an automated headland or sequence management operation. The system detects a communication loss or interruption involving the front axle suspension module. The front axle is rendered inoperative. After 20 seconds, the tractor attempts to initialize, and the sequence is relaunched.

   Verify the power supply, ground, and fuses for the SFA (A102) suspended axle module.

   Ensure the EXT (A62) external function module is receiving power and communicating properly.

   Check the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus network for continuity. Inspect the wiring harnesses and connectors linking the SFA (A102) and EXT (A62) modules for short-circuits, open circuits, or corrosion.

   Verify the status of the CLAAS Sequence Management (S177) switch to ensure it is not faulty.

   Wait for initialization

   When the fault occurs, wait 20 seconds. The tractor will attempt to initialize and relaunch the sequence automatically.

   Reset the CSM

   If the sequence does not relaunch and nothing happens, manually reset the CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) system via the CEBIS terminal.

   Repair wiring harness

   If the fault persists, repair or replace any damaged wiring or pins found during the CAN bus and connector inspection between the SFA and EXT modules.

   Replace control module

   If wiring is intact and power/ground are verified, but communication remains lost, the SFA (A102) module or EXT (A62) module may have suffered an internal failure and will require replacement and reprogramming via the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS).
