Id78DBh / 78DBh

CLAAS Id78DBh / 78DBh – EXT (A62): The CSM sequence is interrupted.

Issue description

The CLAAS Sequence Management (CSM) sequence is interrupted because it is attempting to use an "unknown function". This is typically a software, memory, or configuration issue where a previously recorded headland management sequence contains a command that the tractor's system no longer recognizes, or an implement was changed without updating the sequence.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 870
  • Axion 920
  • Axion 930

  • Arion 650
  • Arion 660

Check the cause

  1. Review CSM sequences on the CEBIS display for any functions tied to implements or optional equipment that are currently disconnected or disabled.

  2. Verify that the tractor is set to the correct implement profile (CSM allows up to 20 implements to be stored).

  3. Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and calibrations for the EXT module.

Repair steps

  1. Clear the Sequence

Navigate to the CSM settings in the CEBIS terminal.

  2. Edit or Delete

Delete the specific sequence that is causing the interruption, or edit it to remove the unrecognized function.

  3. Re-record the Sequence

Perform a new time- or distance-related recording of the headland management sequence, ensuring you only activate functions that are currently supported and recognized by the tractor's configuration.

  4. Test Operation

Activate the sequence using the CMOTION or F buttons to ensure it completes without interruption.

  5. CDS Update

If the tractor continues to flag functions as "unknown" despite being properly equipped, a dealer will need to connect the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) to perform a software update or re-flash the EXT (A62) module.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • External Function Module (EXT - Node A62)

OEM part numbers for control modules are highly specific to the tractor's exact serial number and build configuration. A dealer must look up the exact A62 module variant using the machine's VIN in the CLAAS Parts Catalog.
