CLAAS Id77A0h – HYD (A60): Cross control activation contact remained pressed for more than 6 seconds
Issue description
The cross control activation contact remained pressed for more than 6 seconds, causing the hydraulic system to disable the affected circuits and render Electrodistributors 4 and 5 inactive.
Applies to these machines
6 machines- Axion 800 Series
- Axion 810
- Axion 850
- Axion 900 Series
- Axion 920
- Axion 950
Check the cause
Check the Electropilot cross control locking contact (Component ID: S183) to ensure the switch is not mechanically seized, stuck in the depressed position, or obstructed by debris.
Check the MFA (A100) armrest multifunction module to verify that the module is receiving and processing the switch signals correctly.
Check the connectors and continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the S183 contact and the A100 module.
Inspect for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits in the wiring.
Check the sources of energy (fuses, power supply, and ground connections).
Check the component's resistance to verify internal electrical integrity.
Repair steps
Document and Analyze
Note all error codes present on the CEBIS terminal. Analyze if other codes are interacting with Id77A0h to identify the root cause.
Inspect the Switch
Physically inspect the Electropilot cross control locking contact (S183) on the armrest. Clean any dirt or sticky residue that might cause the button to physically stick.
Test the Harness
Disconnect the S183 switch and use a multimeter to test the continuity of the harness back to the MFA (A100) module. Repair any damaged wiring.
Test the Switch
Test the S183 switch for proper momentary continuity. If the switch fails the resistance test or remains closed when released, it must be replaced.
Clear and Retest
After cleaning, repairing wiring, or replacing the switch, clear all error codes from the system memory.
Final Validation
Operate the tractor and test the cross control activation to ensure the anomaly does not reappear and that Electrodistributors 4 and 5 have regained functionality.
Parts you might need
(2)Electropilot Cross Control Locking Contact Switch (Component ID: S183)
Armrest Multifunction Module / MFA (Component ID: A100)
Only replace if the module itself is proven to have an internal fault after harness and switch testing.
