Deutz-Fahr B60D04 – ACM 2.1 (Aftertreatment Control Module): Supply voltage of 17Y06 (AdBlue dosing valve) short to ground.

The electrical circuit supplying power to component 17Y06 (AdBlue Dosing Valve) has shorted to ground. The voltage grounds out before it can power the valve, preventing it from opening to inject DEF/AdBlue into the SCR system. This triggers an emissions warning, disables the AdBlue system, and forces the engine into a derated limp mode.

   Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the AdBlue Dosing Valve (17Y06) for chafing, melted insulation near the hot exhaust, or pinched wires touching the machine's chassis/ground.

   Disconnect the electrical connector at the dosing valve and use a multimeter to check for continuity between the supply voltage pin on the harness and a known good chassis ground. If continuity exists, the short is in the wiring harness.

   Check the internal resistance of the AdBlue dosing valve itself. An internal short inside the valve's solenoid will also trigger this code.

   Inspect the pins at the ACM 2.1 module for corrosion, water ingress, or bent pins that could be bridging the supply voltage to a ground pin.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's battery (negative terminal first) to prevent electrical spikes.

   Resolve the Short

   If the wiring is damaged: Repair the damaged section of the wiring harness using heat-shrink tubing and route the harness away from exhaust components or sharp frame edges. If the valve is internally shorted: Remove the DEF lines and electrical connector from the AdBlue Dosing Valve (17Y06), unbolt the valve from the exhaust pipe/mixing chamber, and install a new unit.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the DEF lines and electrical connector. Reconnect the battery.

   Clear Codes & Test

   Connect a diagnostic tool (such as the SDF Analyser or Serdia 2010) to the diagnostic port. Clear the B60D04 fault code.

   System Validation

   Run a forced SCR system test or a stationary regeneration via the diagnostic tool to command the dosing valve open and verify that the system is building pressure and injecting AdBlue without throwing the code again.
