Deutz-Fahr T64 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU) / Shuttle ECU / VDC2: Clutch Pedal Position Plausibility Conflict
Issue description
The control unit has detected a plausibility conflict regarding the effective position of the clutch pedal. The information received from the clutch pedal position sensor (potentiometer) does not match the state of the clutch pedal depressed sensor (end-of-travel switch).
Applies to these machines

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors in the clutch pedal compartment for damage, disconnection, or shorts to ground/battery.
Switch on the ignition and measure the voltage between pins 4 and 11 at the VDC2 connector (A4/4). If the voltage is less than 4.5V, the wiring is likely defective.
Using a diagnostic tool (ART or SDF Analyser), monitor the clutch pedal potentiometer signal. It should read 0.8–0.9 V when not depressed, and approximately 4.1 V when fully depressed.
Verify the physical distance between the lever and the sensor is between 0.5 and 1 mm, and check the end float (0.1 to 0.6 mm).
Ensure the clutch pedal depressed switch is functioning and not sticking, as a mechanical failure of this switch will trigger the T64 conflict code even if the potentiometer is fine.
Repair steps
Locate sensor
Turn off the ignition and locate the clutch pedal potentiometer in the clutch pedal compartment.
Disconnect sensor
Unplug the electrical connector from the potentiometer.
Remove sensor
Remove the retaining nuts/bolts and extract the faulty sensor.
Install new sensor
Install the new clutch pedal potentiometer.
Adjust sensor position
Adjust the position of the sensor relative to the lever by turning the mounting nuts. Ensure the distance between the lever and the sensor is set to 0.5 - 1 mm.
Reconnect sensor
Reconnect the electrical connector.
Verify and calibrate voltage
Turn on the ignition and use the ART or SDF Analyser diagnostic tool to verify the voltage readings. Adjust the bolt if necessary to achieve 0.8-0.9V (released) and 4.1V (depressed).
Clear fault code
Clear the T64 fault code from the TCU memory and test the tractor's shuttle and clutch operation.
