0.0.11

Fendt 0.0.11 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Data transfer A002 restricted to A051 / EDC / EMR bus fault

Issue description

Data transfer failure or programming error between the enhanced control module and the electronic engine control unit (EDC/EMR). The tractor loses enhanced features (such as the forward/reverse indicator) and defaults to an emergency operating mode where it can only be driven using the mechanical foot throttle.

Check the cause

  1. Verify symptoms: confirm that the tractor can still be driven using the foot throttle, but the forward/reverse indicator on the display is missing or inoperative

  2. Check the CAN bus wiring harness and connections between the A002 Enhanced Control ECU and the Engine Control Unit (EDC/EMR), referring to Wiring diagram Sheet 22 / 6 or Sheet 28

  3. Connect the FENDIAS or SERDIA diagnostic tool to check for underlying programming errors in the ECU

Repair steps

  1. Inspect and Repair Wiring

Based on the wiring diagram (Sheet 22/6), test the CAN bus lines between the A002 and the engine control unit for continuity, shorts, or voltage drops. Repair any damaged wires or clean corroded connector pins.

  2. EOL Reprogramming

If the wiring is intact, EOL (End of Line) reprogramming is necessary. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic software to re-flash or reprogram the A002 ECU to correct the software fault.

  3. Clear Codes

Once reprogramming is complete, use the diagnostic tool to clear the 0.0.11 fault code from the system.

  4. Module Replacement

If the A002 ECU fails to accept the EOL programming or has suffered internal hardware failure, the module itself must be replaced and subsequently flash-programmed to match the tractor's chassis number.
