Fendt 0.0.12 – A008 Vario terminal: Terminal Bus Failure / Bus fault
Issue description
The fault indicates a loss of communication on the CAN bus network. The primary cause is a failure in the voltage/power supply to the CAN bus, which prevents the terminal from communicating with the rest of the tractor's systems.

Check the cause
Verify Symptoms: Confirm that the Vario terminal has no display and no functions are available.
Check the Power Supply: The voltage supply for the CAN bus originates from the A013 printed circuit board.
Inspect Fuses: Locate the A013 fuse board and test fuses F039 and F046. A blown fuse here is the most common cause of this specific bus fault.
Repair steps
Disconnect battery
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Access fuse panel
Access the central electrics / fuse panel where the A013 printed circuit board is located.
Locate fuses
Locate fuses F039 and F046 on the A013 board.
Test fuses
Test both fuses with a multimeter for continuity.
Replace blown fuses
If either fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the exact same amperage rating (refer to the fuse panel diagram for the specific amperage, as it varies slightly by model).
Test system
Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition ON. Check if the Vario terminal powers up and the fault code clears.
Inspect wiring harness
If the fuses are intact but the fault persists, inspect the wiring harness connecting the A013 board to the A008 Vario terminal for chafing, breaks, or loose connector pins.
Replace hardware
If wiring is verified as good, the A013 circuit board or the A008 Vario terminal itself may have suffered an internal hardware failure and will require replacement.
