Fendt 0.0.14 – A009 Actuator unit / Transmission control module: A009 - Actuator unit: Bus fault

Loss of communication on the CAN bus network, typically causing a complete loss of transmission functions and display capabilities. The root cause is almost always a loss of voltage/power supply to the CAN bus circuit that feeds the A009 actuator.

   Check the voltage supply for the CAN bus on the A013 printed circuit board.

   Test fuses F040 and F041 on the A013 board, as these directly supply power to the A009 actuator unit's CAN bus circuit.

   Check the CAN bus wiring harness and connectors for breaks, corrosion, or short circuits between the A013 board and the A009 unit.

   Verify the mechanical ease of movement of the transmission adjustment device using the emergency control system (socket wrench on the emergency actuation) to ensure the actuator shaft isn't seized. The slip clutch resistance should be less than 5 Nm.

   Locate the A013 Fuse Board

   Access the main fuse panel (A013 circuit board).

   Replace Fuses

   If fuses F040 or F041 are blown, replace them with the correct amperage fuses.

   Repair Wiring

   If the fuses are intact but power is not reaching the actuator, trace the CAN bus wiring from the A013 board to the A009 Actuator unit. Repair any damaged wires or clean corroded connector pins.

   Replace the Actuator Unit

   If the wiring and power supply are confirmed good but the fault persists, the A009 Actuator unit itself may have suffered an internal electrical failure. Remove the defective unit and install the replacement.

   Calibration / Reset

   After replacing fuses or the actuator, cycle the ignition (Key reset OFF/ON). When the ignition is switched on, the A009 actuator unit must automatically search for its reference point (the neutral point between forward and reverse travel).
