Fendt 0.0.17 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control / A050 - Basic control unit ECU: Front PTO Bus fault

There is a communication failure (bus fault) on the CAN bus network related to the Front Power Take-Off (PTO). When this code is active, no functions are available for the front PTO, and there is no display. The underlying cause is that the voltage/power supply for the CAN bus has been interrupted.

   Check microfuses F040 and F041 on the A013 fuse board for continuity (most common cause)

   Measure the voltage supply for the CAN bus directly at the A013 circuit board to ensure power delivery

   Inspect the CAN bus wiring harness between the A002 ECU, the A013 fuse board, and the Front PTO unit for chafed wires, broken connections, or corroded pins

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

   Access the Fuse Board

   Locate and access the A013 printed circuit board.

   Replace Fuses

   If fuses F040 or F041 are blown, replace them with new fuses of the exact same amperage rating.

   Repair Wiring

   If the fuses are intact but voltage is missing, trace the wiring harness back from the A013 board to the A002 ECU and the Front PTO. Repair any damaged wires or clean corroded connectors.

   Test the System

   Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and clear the fault codes using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool. Test the Front PTO engagement to ensure the bus communication is restored.

   ECU/Board Replacement (If necessary)

   If the wiring and fuses are perfectly intact but the bus fault persists, the A013 circuit board or the A002 ECU may have an internal hardware failure. If the A002 ECU is replaced, End-of-Line (EOL) reprogramming will be necessary.
