Fendt 0.0.18 – A014 - ECU, EPC OBE: CAN bus communication failure with the Rear Electrohydraulic Power Control (EPC) unit

The main tractor electronic system has lost communication with the Rear EPC module, resulting in 'No functions available, no display' for the rear power lift. This is most commonly caused by a loss of power supply to the CAN bus circuit for this specific module.

   Check battery voltage to ensure it is not dropping below 11.0 V, which can trigger this fault.

   Inspect the A013 PCB (Microfuse Board) located in the cab, typically in the right B-pillar.

   Test fuses F040 and F041 on the A013 circuit board, which supply voltage to the A014 CAN bus.

   Check the physical CAN bus lines (referencing wiring diagram Sheet 22 / 6 or Sheet 25) between the main controller and the A014 ECU for continuity, shorts, or damaged pins.

   Verify battery voltage

   Turn off the tractor and verify that the main battery is fully charged and supplying adequate voltage to the system.

   Access A013 PCB

   Access the A013 microfuse circuit board inside the cab.

   Test and replace fuses

   Locate and test fuses F040 and F041. If either fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the correct amperage.

   Check voltage at ECU

   If the fuses are intact, use a multimeter to check for voltage at the A014 ECU connector to ensure power is reaching the module.

   Inspect CAN bus wiring

   Inspect the CAN bus wiring harness leading to the rear EPC (A014) for chafing, breaks, or loose connector pins. Repair any damaged wiring.

   Replace faulty module

   If power, ground, and CAN lines all test good at the connector, the A014 ECU itself (or the A013 PCB failing to output power) has an internal fault and must be replaced.

   Clear fault codes

   After repairs are completed, clear the stored fault codes using the tractor's terminal.
