Fendt 0.0.18 – Tractor / General System: Rear EPC (Electrohydraulic Power Control) Bus fault
Issue description
A loss of communication or a voltage supply failure on the CAN bus network that controls the rear electrohydraulic power lift and spool valves, causing the tractor to enter a state with no functions available, no display for the rear EPC system, and locked controls.

Check the cause
Check the power supply for a loss of voltage to the CAN bus
Inspect the A013 printed circuit board (microfuse board)
Test microfuses F040 and F041 on the A013 circuit board for a blown fuse
Verify the Fendt ECU is securely connected and the CAN connection to the transmission bus is not interrupted
Check the wiring diagram (Sheet 22 / 6) for the A014 ECU/EPC OBE to ensure there are no broken wires or corroded pins
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Access the Fuse Board
Open the electrical panel to access the A013 printed circuit board.
Replace Fuses
If fuses F040 or F041 are blown, replace them with new fuses of the exact same amperage.
Inspect the Harness
If the fuses are intact, trace the CAN bus wiring harness between the A013 circuit board and the A014/A005 Rear EPC ECU. Repair any damaged wiring.
Replace the ECU (if necessary)
If the wiring and power supply are verified as good, the A014 (ECU, EPC OBE) or A005 module itself may have failed internally and will need to be replaced.
Clear Codes and Calibrate
After repairs, reconnect the battery. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's terminal to confirm and delete the fault code from the memory. If the EPC module was replaced, an EOL (End of Line) programming or calibration of the rear EPC (Calibration code 8001 and 8002) may be required.
