Fendt 0.0.1F – Enhanced Control ECU (A002) or Basic Control Unit ECU (A050): Joystick bus fault ('Drive switch data transfer fault')

CAN bus communication failure between the tractor's main electronics and the A034 Joystick (driving switch). When this code is active, the tractor enters an emergency operation mode. The auxiliary control valves, electronic accelerator, and transmission adjustment functions will not operate.

   Check the Power Supply: Locate the A013 printed circuit board (the main fuse board).

   Inspect Fuses: Specifically, check fuse F047 on the A013 circuit board, which supplies power to the Joystick CAN bus.

   Wiring & Harness Check: Inspect the wiring harness between the A034 Joystick and the A002 ECU (refer to wiring diagram Sheet 22 / 6). Look for pinched wires, corrosion at the connectors, or loose pins.

   Terminal Diagnostics: Use the Variotronic Ti terminal (A008) or FENDIAS software to check the joystick status. Look at the 'IDEAL' (target value for transmission ratio from the A034 joystick) to see if any signal is being registered.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during testing.

   Fuse Replacement

   Access the A013 circuit board. If fuse F047 is blown, replace it with a fuse of the exact same amperage. Reconnect the battery and test. If the fuse blows again immediately, there is a short circuit in the joystick or its wiring harness.

   Wiring Repair

   If the fuse is intact but communication is still lost, use a multimeter to check for continuity on the CAN-High and CAN-Low lines between the joystick connector and the ECU. Repair any broken wires or replace damaged connector pins.

   Joystick Replacement

   If the power supply is verified (fuse F047 is good) and the wiring harness has continuity, the internal CAN controller inside the A034 Joystick has failed. The joystick must be replaced.

   Reprogramming (EOL)

   After replacing the joystick, you must use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes and perform an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming/calibration so the ECU recognizes the new joystick's parameters.
