Fendt 0.1.51 – Instrument Cluster: B012 - Engine oil pressure sensor

Component B012 - Engine oil pressure sensor fault. The underlying condition is a sensor fault, a wiring fault, or a 12 V supply fault. When this code is active, the system registers "No monitoring!" for the engine oil pressure, which may trigger a continuous acoustic signal and a warning light on the dash.

   Immediate Action: If the warning light and continuous acoustic signal are active, switch the engine off immediately and check the physical engine oil level to ensure it is not insufficient or too thin.

   Fuse Check: Check for a 12 V supply fault by inspecting fuse 24 on the A013 circuit board.

   Wiring & Voltage Check: Using a multimeter (voltmeter), test the connector at the B012 sensor (located on the oil filter bracket). Pin 1 = Earth (Ground), Pin 2 = Signal voltage, Pin 3 = +12 VDC Supply.

   Mechanical Pressure Test: Attach an M16x1.5 measurement adapter and a mechanical pressure gauge to the oil filter bracket to verify the actual engine oil pressure against the target values.

   Valve Inspection: Check for dirt or debris in the oil control valve located in the filter head.

   Verify engine oil level

   Verify the engine oil level and top up with the correct specification oil if it is insufficient or too thin.

   Replace faulty sensor

   If the mechanical pressure test shows normal oil pressure but the sensor voltage signal is out of range or missing, the B012 sensor is faulty and must be replaced.

   Disconnect wiring harness

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the B012 engine oil pressure sensor on the oil filter bracket.

   Install replacement sensor

   Unscrew the faulty sensor and install the replacement part.

   Repair 12V supply or wiring

   If the sensor tests fine but there is no 12V supply, replace fuse 24 on the A013 board. If the fuse is intact, trace and repair the wiring harness between the instrument cluster and the sensor.

   Clean oil control valve

   If dirt is found in the oil control valve during diagnostics, clean the oil control valve (noted in the manual as a workshop-only procedure).

   Verify repair and clear code

   Reconnect the sensor, start the engine, and verify that the instrument panel is actively monitoring oil pressure without triggering the acoustic warning. Clear the stored 0.1.51 fault code from the instrument cluster memory.
