Fendt 0.1.57 – Engine Control Unit (ECU): B092 - Sensor, charge air pressure/temperature
Issue description
The engine control unit detects a cable break, a short circuit, or that the boost pressure/charge air temperature is outside the setpoint range, resulting in no monitoring and forcing the engine into a reduced power mode.

Check the cause
Locate the B092 sensor on the front of the engine.
Inspect the 4-pin separation point/connector X1661 for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.
Verify wiring integrity using a multimeter (Pin 1: Ground, Pin 2: Temp Signal, Pin 3: Supply voltage, Pin 4: Pressure Signal).
Connect SERDIA or FENDIAS diagnostic tool to read live data for charge air temperature and boost pressure to confirm if the sensor is reading out of bounds.
Repair steps
Cool down engine
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and allow the engine to cool down, as the charge air pipes and engine block will be hot.
Locate sensor
Locate the B092 charge air pressure/temperature sensor on the front of the engine block/intake manifold.
Disconnect wiring
Disconnect the 4-pin X1661 electrical connector from the sensor.
Remove faulty sensor
Unbolt/unscrew the faulty B092 sensor from its mounting port.
Clean mounting port
Clean the mounting port surface to ensure a good seal for the new sensor.
Install new sensor
Install the new replacement sensor and torque it to the manufacturer's specifications.
Reconnect wiring
Reconnect the 4-pin electrical connector, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
Clear fault codes
Connect the SERDIA diagnostic software to the tractor and clear the stored KHD engine control faults (associated KWP codes often include FC:0020, 0021, 0095, or 0096).
Verify repair
Start the engine and verify that the fault code 0.1.57 does not return and that the tractor has regained full power.
