Fendt 00.0.03 – Overall System / General Bus: Multifunction armrest bus fault
Issue description
The EOL (End of Line) programming does not report to the bus. Tractor functions controlled by the armrest become non-operational, and programming/display functions are lost.

Check the cause
Verify the CAN bus wiring and connections between the A039 multifunction armrest and the A050 basic control unit.
Test the A039 multifunction armrest using the Fendt 160-pin adapter box to isolate hardware failures from wiring issues.
Verify if the module has simply lost its End of Line (EOL) programming.
Repair steps
Inspect Wiring
Check the wiring harness routing from the driver's seat/armrest console to the main tractor electronics for pinches, breaks, or loose connector pins.
Reprogram the Module
If the wiring and adapter box tests pass, connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic software. Perform an EOL (End of Line) reprogramming of the A039 multifunction armrest.
Replace the MFA
If the armrest module will not accept EOL reprogramming or fails the 160-pin adapter box test, the internal bus controller in the armrest has failed. Remove the armrest console from the driver's seat and install a replacement A039 unit.
Calibrate
After installing a new armrest, use FENDIAS to perform EOL programming on the new module so it can communicate with the A050 Basic Control Unit.
