Fendt 00.0.06 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control / A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Rear PTO Bus Fault

CAN bus communication to the rear Power Take-Off (PTO) system has been interrupted, or the setpoint/signal is missing.

   Check the Electronics Voltage Supply: Check the main fuse board (A013) for blown fuses that supply the CAN bus.

   Inspect the Wiring Harness: Check the CAN bus wiring between the A050/A002 ECU and the rear PTO module/sensors for chafing, corrosion, or loose connector pins.

   Check for Accompanying Codes: If multiple bus fault codes are present simultaneously (e.g., 00.0.04 Transmission bus fault, 00.0.05 4WD/Diff bus fault, 00.0.07 Front PTO bus fault), the issue is likely a central 8.5V power supply failure or a total CAN bus crash rather than an isolated rear PTO issue.

   Resolve Wiring/Voltage Issues

   If a fuse is blown or a wire is broken in the PTO circuit, repair the wiring harness or replace the fuse.

   Clear the Fault Memory

   Fault codes stored in the A050/A002 ECU must be cleared using FENDIAS (Fendt's official diagnostic software).

   EOL Programming

   If the communication loss caused the ECU to drop its configuration, or if the ECU is replaced, you must perform EOL (End of Line) programming using FENDIAS to re-teach the tractor its hardware configuration.

   ECU Repair/Replacement

   If the wiring is intact but the A050/A002 ECU fails to communicate internally (often due to EEPROM/RAM failure), the ECU itself must be removed. These units can often be sent to specialized agricultural electronics repairers (like Ilgenfritz Mechatronics) for bench-testing and repair. If unrepairable, replace the ECU.
