00.0.06

Fendt 00.0.06 – A050 - Basic Control Unit ECU: A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Rear PTO bus fault.

Issue description

This code indicates a CAN bus communication error specifically affecting the rear Power Take-Off (PTO) system. The basic control unit is unable to communicate with the rear PTO components, resulting in a loss of function. The tractor will typically register "Functions non-operational, no display" for the rear PTO.

Check the cause

  1. Verify the voltage supply to the A050 control unit and the rear PTO circuit, as voltage drops can trigger bus errors.

  2. Inspect the physical CAN bus wiring harness and connectors between the A050 basic control unit and the rear PTO sensors/actuators for corrosion, loose pins, or chafing.

  3. If wiring is intact, consider an internal hardware failure of the A050 unit (bench-testing by specialized shops may be required).

  4. Note that fault codes stored in the A050 Basic Control ECU can only be permanently deleted using Fendt's official FENDIAS diagnostic software.

Repair steps

  1. Isolate the circuit

Disconnect battery power before servicing the ECU or wiring harness.

  2. Repair wiring

If the diagnostic checks reveal damaged CAN bus lines or power supply wires to the rear PTO, repair or replace the affected harness sections.

  3. Repair or replace the A050 ECU

If the wiring is sound but the module fails to communicate, remove the A050 Basic Control Unit. You can either send it out for specialized repair or replace it with a new OEM unit.

  4. Perform EOL programming

If the A050 ECU is replaced, repaired, or wiped, you must perform EOL (End of Line) programming using the FENDIAS software to configure the module to the tractor's specific options and restore functionality.

  5. Clear codes

Clear the historical fault codes from the A050 memory using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool.
