Fendt 00.0.07 – A002 (ECU, enhanced control) or A050 (ECU, basic control unit): Bus fault, front PTO
Issue description
The tractor's control unit has lost CAN bus communication with the front PTO system. As a direct consequence of this fault, the front PTO will not function, and no related information will be displayed on the tractor's terminal.

Check the cause
Check the power supply for the CAN bus on the main circuit board (A013), specifically inspecting fuses F040 and F041.
Inspect the 'Electronics voltage supply' circuit for physical layer issues such as corroded electrical connectors, moisture ingress, or chafed wiring between the A002/A050 ECU and the front PTO.
Test battery voltage to ensure it is strong and stable, as voltage drops can cause intermittent CAN bus communication loss.
Repair steps
Resolve Power Issues
If fuses F040 or F041 are blown, replace them and test the circuit for shorts to ground.
Repair Wiring
Disconnect the battery and clean any corroded connector pins using electrical contact cleaner. Repair or replace any damaged wiring harness sections leading to the front PTO.
ECU Testing/Replacement
If the wiring is fully intact and the CAN bus has power, the A002/A050 Basic Control Unit itself may have suffered an internal failure. The unit will need to be sent to an agricultural electronics specialist for bench testing/repair, or replaced entirely.
EOL Programming
Regardless of whether the wiring was repaired or the ECU was replaced, the system will require EOL (End of Line) programming. Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic software to re-initialize the module parameters and clear the stored fault code from the ECU's memory.
