00.0.15

Fendt 00.0.15 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control / A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Bus error FA suspension / Bus fault, VA suspension

Issue description

There is a CAN bus communication failure between the front axle suspension system and the tractor's control unit. When this code is active, the front axle suspension will not function, and there will be no display for it on the terminal.

Applies to these machines

  • 309 Vario COM III
  • 310 Vario COM III
  • 311 Vario COM III
  • 312 Vario COM III
  • 200 V/F/P Vario series
  • 300 Vario series (including COM III)
  • 400 Vario series
  • 700 Vario series (including COM II, COM III, and SCR models)
  • 800 Vario series
  • 900 Vario series (including COM II, COM III, and S4 models)

Check the cause

  1. Inspect CAN bus connectors and wiring harness leading to the front axle suspension components for corrosion or moisture intrusion.

  2. Check the electronics voltage supply to verify that the A002/A050 E-box is supplying the correct basic signal voltage (measure at pin 1 and pin 2).

  3. Verify if the B003 front axle suspension position sensor has lost calibration.

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Wiring/Connection Issues

Clean any corroded pins on the CAN bus connectors and ensure the wiring harness between the front axle suspension and the A002/A050 ECU is intact.

  2. Perform EOL Programming

Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS / Fendt-EST diagnostic software and re-flash/reprogram the A002/A050 control unit.

  3. Calibrate the Suspension

If the B003 position sensor was replaced or the ECU was reprogrammed, you must recalibrate the front axle suspension by entering calibration code 7666 in the diagnostic system.

  4. Clear Codes

Clear the diagnostic memory and test the tractor to ensure the front axle suspension raises and lowers correctly without triggering the intermittent audible warning signal.

Parts you might need

(3)
  • A002 ECU, Enhanced Control (or A050 ECU, Basic Control Unit)

Exact OEM part numbers vary heavily by the specific tractor chassis number and engine configuration. Always verify with the dealer using the tractor's VIN.

  • B003 Sensor, Front Axle Suspension Position

  • CAN Bus Wiring Harness / Connectors

Generic repair pigtails may be required if connector corrosion is found to be the root cause of the bus fault.
