Fendt 00.0.15 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Bus fault, VA suspension
Issue description
The basic control unit has lost CAN bus communication with the front axle suspension system. The direct consequence of this fault is that the front axle suspension function becomes non-operable, and there is no display for it on the tractor's terminal.

Check the cause
Connect the AGCO 2x4 CANUSB diagnostic tool (FENDIAS) to confirm the 00.0.15 fault is active and check for any other CAN bus communication errors.
Inspect the physical CAN bus wiring harness between the A050 Basic Control Unit and the front axle (VA) suspension components (valves and sensors) for chafed wires, open circuits, or short circuits to ground.
Inspect the connectors at the A050 ECU and the suspension module for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture ingress.
Verify that the A050 ECU is receiving proper voltage and has a solid ground connection.
Repair steps
Repair Wiring
If the diagnostic checks reveal a broken wire or corroded connector on the CAN bus line to the front axle, repair the harness and clear the codes.
Software/Programming Check
If the wiring is intact, use the FENDIAS dealer software to attempt an EOL programming of the A050 Basic Control Unit.
ECU Repair/Replacement
If the A050 ECU will not accept EOL programming or has suffered an internal EEPROM/hardware failure, the module must be removed.
Installation
Install the repaired or replacement A050 Basic Control Unit.
Final EOL Programming
A new or remanufactured A050 ECU must be programmed via EOL using FENDIAS to match the tractor's specific chassis number and configuration. The tractor will not operate correctly without this step.
Test
Clear all stored fault codes and test drive the tractor to verify that the front axle suspension operates normally and the display functions return.
