Fendt 00.1.4F – A007 - Instrument cluster: Checksum GD table

Internal memory (EEPROM) in the instrument cluster is faulty or corrupted, resulting in a display error on the instrument panel.

   Verify power and ground to the A007 module to ensure stable voltage, specifically inspecting fuses F040 and F041 on the A013 printed circuit board.

   Read and clear faults using the multiple display or FENDIAS software to determine if the code was a transient voltage glitch or a hard memory failure.

   Check for related A007 codes, such as 00.1.50 (EEPROM not programmed) or 00.0.20 (CAN bus fault), to isolate internal memory issues from communication failures.

   Perform EOL Programming

   The official OEM remedy for fault code 00.1.4F is to perform EOL (End-Of-Line) programming.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to the tractor.

   Initiate EOL programming sequence

   Initiate the EOL programming sequence for the A007 Instrument Cluster to re-flash the EEPROM and correct the checksum mismatch.

   Assess hardware failure

   If the EOL programming fails to write, or if the fault returns immediately upon rebooting the tractor, the physical EEPROM chip inside the cluster has failed.

   Remove instrument cluster

   Remove the A007 instrument cluster from the dashboard.

   Repair or replace cluster

   The cluster must either be sent to a specialized agricultural electronics repair facility (such as Ilgenfritz Mechatronics) or replaced entirely with a new unit.

   Program new unit

   If a new unit is installed, EOL programming will still be required to marry the new cluster to the tractor's basic control unit (A050).
