Fendt 00.1.59 – Instrument Cluster / Instrument Panel (A007): B034 - Immersed tube sensor (fuel)

The control module is not receiving a valid electrical signal from the fuel tank's level sensor, meaning the circuit is either open, shorted, or the sensor itself has failed internally. This results in 'No display' for the fuel level indicator.

   Inspect the wiring harness between the B034/B007 fuel level sensor and the A007 Instrument Cluster for chafed wires, broken lines, or corroded pins at connector X182.

   Disconnect the sensor, turn the ignition on, and verify that the instrument cluster is sending the correct reference voltage to the sensor plug.

   Ensure the ground circuit has continuity to the chassis.

   Measure the resistance across the pins of the immersed tube sensor with a multimeter. If it reads completely open (infinite resistance) or shorted (zero resistance), the internal mechanism has failed.

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on level ground, turn off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal.

   Locate the Sensor

   Locate the B034 immersed tube sensor on the top of the fuel tank assembly.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the top of the fuel tank around the sensor mounting flange to prevent dirt, dust, or debris from falling into the fuel tank during removal.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector (X182) from the sensor.

   Removal

   Remove the retaining bolts or unscrew the locking ring securing the sensor to the tank. Carefully pull the immersed tube sensor straight up and out of the fuel tank.

   Installation

   Insert the new OEM fuel level sensor into the tank. Always use a new O-ring or mounting gasket to prevent fuel leaks and keep moisture out of the tank. Secure the retaining bolts/ring.

7. 7

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness to the sensor. Reconnect the battery.

   Verification

   Turn the ignition key to the ON position. Verify that the fuel gauge on the instrument cluster now registers the correct fuel level and that fault code 00.1.59 is inactive or cleared.
