00.1.71

Fendt 00.1.71 – Instrument Panel / Instrument Cluster (A007): A037 - Control panel, dashboard left: Enter button

Issue description

The system is failing to detect inputs from the "Enter" key on the left-hand dashboard control console, likely due to a failed microswitch, an open circuit, or an internal board failure.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III) (409, 410, 411, 412)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III & SCR) (711, 712, 714, 716)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III & SCR) (815, 817, 818)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III & SCR) (916, 920, 922, 924, 926, 927, 930, 933, 936)

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the 'Enter' button on the left dashboard control panel for physical damage, debris, or lack of tactile feedback (which indicates a broken internal microswitch).

  2. Refer to the 'Instrument cluster' circuit diagram in the Fendt service manual.

  3. Check the wiring harness and the connector at the back of the A037 control panel for loose pins, corrosion, or wire chafing.

  4. Verify that the control panel is receiving its 12V supply and that the control bus lines communicating with the main instrument cluster are intact.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical damage.

  2. Remove the Panel

Carefully unclip or unscrew the A037 left dashboard control panel from the main dashboard console.

  3. Disconnect Harness

Unplug the electrical connector from the rear of the control panel.

  4. Inspect Connections

Clean the connector with electrical contact cleaner if moisture or corrosion is present.

  5. Repair or Replace

Because the buttons are integrated into an electronic circuit board, a non-operable button usually requires replacing the entire control panel board. Alternatively, specialized agricultural electronics repair services (such as Ilgenfritz Mechatronics or Breizelec) offer board-level microswitch repairs for these specific Fendt consoles.

  6. Reinstallation

Plug the harness into the new or repaired control panel and seat it back into the dashboard.

  7. Test

Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and test the Enter button to ensure the fault code 00.1.71 clears and menu navigation is restored.
