Fendt 00.1.71 – Tractor / General System: A036 Control Panel Enter Key Non-Operable

The Enter key on the A036 Control panel (dashboard right/left) does not function or is non-operable.

   Connect SERDIA diagnostics to read fault memory and test control panel inputs

   Consult the Instrument cluster circuit diagram

   Verify the wiring harness between the A036 Control panel and the Central electrical system ECU (A038) or Basic control ECU (A050)

   Physically inspect the Enter button on the dashboard control console for damage, debris, or loss of tactile feedback

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect battery power before servicing the dashboard electronics.

   Access control panel

   Gain access to the A036 Control panel (dashboard right/left).

   Inspect connector

   Inspect the connector at the back of the A036 control console for corrosion, backed-out pins, or moisture.

   Test continuity

   Perform a continuity test on the Enter key circuit (S10) when the button is pressed.

   Evaluate switch

   If the wiring and connectors are intact but the button fails the continuity test (remains open when pressed), the internal membrane or switch of the A036 control panel has failed.

   Replace control panel

   Replace the A036 Control panel / keypad assembly.

   Clear fault code

   Reconnect battery power, turn on the ignition, and use the SERDIA program to clear the 00.1.71 fault code and verify the Enter key now functions.
