Fendt 00.1.75 – Instrument Cluster / Instrument Panel: A036 - Control panel, Enter key pressed > 30s

The system has detected that the "Enter" button on the right/left dashboard control panel (or comfort actuation panel) has been continuously actuated for more than 30 seconds. As a safety and operational consequence, the system registers the button as non-operable or ignores the input until the condition is resolved. This is almost always caused by a physically stuck button, dirt/debris binding the key, liquid damage, or an internal short circuit in the switch membrane.

   Physical Inspection: Examine the "Enter" key on the A036 control panel. Check for sticky residue (spilled drinks, agricultural chemicals), heavy dust, or physical binding that is keeping the button depressed.

   Tactile Test: Press and release the Enter key. Verify if it springs back freely and provides the normal tactile "click" compared to adjacent buttons (like the Esc or Arrow keys).

   Live Data Monitoring: Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool. Navigate to the A036 module inputs and monitor the live state of the Enter button. If it reads "Active" without being touched, the switch is shorted.

   Wiring Check: Inspect the wiring harness connecting the A036 control panel to the main instrument cluster for pinched wires or shorts to ground.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

   Clean the Button

   If the button is physically sticking, use a plastic-safe electrical contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the Enter key. Gently work the button up and down to dislodge debris. Blow out the area with compressed air.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition on. If the fault code changes to "Inactive" or can be cleared, the issue was purely mechanical binding.

   Panel Removal

   If the fault persists, the internal microswitch or membrane is likely failed. Carefully pry or unscrew the A036 control panel assembly from the side console/dashboard.

   Circuit Board Inspection

   Disassemble the panel casing (if your specific model's panel is serviceable) and inspect the rubber membrane and PCB for liquid ingress or corrosion.

   Replacement

   If the board is corroded or the switch is permanently shorted, replace the control panel board or the entire A036 control panel assembly.

   Calibration/Clearing

   Reinstall the panel, reconnect the harness, and use the tractor's onboard terminal or FENDIAS to clear the stored 00.1.75 fault code.
